After the tsunami of Indonesia in 2004,Liu swore to invent a device that people could escape from marine perils urgently.With this idea,the spherical escape capsule came into being.The inner is made by steel structure while outside is covered with a thick layer of fiberglass.There is a operation room in the spherical bottom of it to control the navigation system.The inside of it is the place where people could take refuge emergently.Liu devoted all his vigors into this escape capsule research base from the beginning.He will keep on researching and inventing the devices for refuging.

印尼海啸事件后,刘起元便发誓要发明一种能 够让人紧急躲避海难的装置。因此球形逃生舱应运 而生。逃生舱内部使用钢结构,而外部覆盖一层极 厚的玻璃纤维。在球形底部还有控制室操作航行系 统。舱中则是可供人紧急避难居住的场所。刘起元 从建立逃生舱研究基地开始,已把全身心精力全部 投入在其中。未来他将要继续研究发明紧急避难逃 生设备。
